NOTE: You will need to have a registered Boatsmart Canada Proctor present when
writing the exam. You will also need to register before proceeding.
Take the BOATsmart! Canada Challenge Exam today! Visit one of our
community locations.
The BOATsmart! Canada Challenge Exam consists of 36 multiple choice
questions that test your boating knowledge and skill. You
must correctly answer at least 27 questions in order to pass
the exam and obtain your Pleasure Craft Operator Card. A temporary
card will be issued upon completion of the exam - Your official
Pleasure Craft Operator Card will be mailed in 4-6 weeks.
BOATsmart! Canada administers Challenge Exams specifically designed
for the following age groups:
- 8-12 Years of Age
- 12-15 Years of Age
- 16 and Older
All BOATsmart! Canada Challenge Exams
are accredited by the Canadian Coast Guard.
