The lake provides for flood control, recreation, and wildlife habitation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\">The recreation area includes two public areas:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"font_8\">Cochiti on the west side of the lake<\/li>\n<li class=\"font_8\">Tetilla Peak on the east side<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Recreation includes sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, and fishing. There is also a swimming beach and playground.\u00a0 Facilities include campgrounds and campsites, many with water and electric hookups. It\u2019s an excellent location for all types of paddle craft.
