Litter Laws in Kentucky<\/h2>\n

Accoring to Kentucky state litter laws, it is illegal to discharge raw sewage into any public waters.<\/p>\n

All boats that are equipped with a marine toilet must also be equipped with a Type I, II or III Marine Sanitation Device (MSD) when they are operating on public waters.<\/p>\n

Treated sewage may be discharged into designated legal ‘Discharge Zone’ waters, which are Barkley and Kentucky lakes, Lake Cumberland, Dale Hollow or any of the major river systems. When a boat is operating on ‘No Discharge Zone’ waters, their Type I or II MSDs must be sealed or locked.<\/p>\n
